Cutouts

1. Statue

3. At home... fireplace mantle
4. F-stop 5, shutter speed 1/30
5. Nikon D300s, 18-200mm VR II zoom lens

This is one of my favorite things that I bought in Alaska last winter. I love how it shows two people intertwined to create something symmetrical and beautiful. Because the statue didn't have much background around it anyway, I just used the eraser tool with varying sizes and degrees of feathering to take the background out. Although I've done work like this in a past graphic design job, I was surprised how nice the light shadow made it look.
