I enjoyed taking photos with a different objective than I usually have. Mostly I just look for anything around me that is beautiful or interesting to shoot, but it was fun to try to focus on a specific color scheme! I took a ton of photos, and then picked out the ones that had a similar color scheme. I didn't have quite enough of the same, so I then looked through my iPhoto library and found a few others that had similar colors. It was fun to try to keep the five L's in mind... I have a feeling that I'll get better and better at that as the semester goes on!

  1. Wow, you got this assignment done so early. This shows you must really love this stuff. :) I love your photos, Kathryn! The softness and light seem to be a nice theme with these. What a cool color to select, ochre. I think this is a first! My favorite one is the chicken. The colors are great and I love the fact that I had to check the title to be sure what it was. Nice abstract touch. You labels and everything looks perfect on first glance.

My favorite is the Pillar of Light picture and how you can see the dust particles in the air.
    Job well done!

  4. I think you choose a terrific color to work with! You did a great job portraying it. I love the expressions on the two little boys-priceless! My favorite is of the chicken feathers. They look rich and full and the shape is just fabulous! Good work. :)
